Simple steps for a smooth experience

Booking a photo session is such an exciting step, whether you’re celebrating your pregnancy, welcoming a newborn, or capturing the love of your family. At Mila Photography, my goal is to make your experience smooth, comfortable, and meaningful, so that the only thing you need to focus on is being present in the moment.

Here are some simple tips and guidelines to help you prepare for your session:

📍 Arriving at the Studio

Our studio is located at 433 Rue Chabanel Ouest, Montreal, QC H2N 2J9.
When you arrive, head straight to Tour Nord. You’ll see 5 elevators—take any of them up to the 9th floor. We’re inside Maison Lumière, Suite 905.

I recommend arriving 15 minutes early to give yourself time for parking, settling in, and starting your session stress-free. Please note that sessions begin and end at the scheduled time, as I may have other clients right after yours.

👶 Preparing for a Newborn Session

• Feed your baby about 20 minutes before the session—a full tummy helps keep them calm and cozy.
• If siblings will be included, it’s best for them to join in the last hour so the environment stays quiet and relaxed for your little one.
• Don’t worry about packing too much—I provide diapers, wipes, baby lotion, bottle warmers, and changing pads to keep things comfortable.

🤰 Preparing for a Maternity Session

• Partners are always welcome to join at no extra cost.
• If you have children, they can be included toward the end of the session to keep things smooth.
• I have a wardrobe of elegant maternity dresses you’re welcome to use, but you’re also encouraged to bring your own outfits for variety. A private changing room is available.

👨‍👩‍👧 Family & Guests

• Sessions are designed for parents, siblings, and partners (for maternity).
• If you’d like grandparents or friends to join, they’re more than welcome with a small additional fee of $50 per person.

🍼 Studio Comforts

I know how important it is to feel at ease. That’s why the studio is fully equipped with everything you might need:
✔ Diapers, wipes, and baby lotion
✔ Bottle warmer & changing pads
✔ Clean, cozy, and hygienic environment

📸 Extra Options

• Add 5 extra retouched photos for $50
• Purchase the full unedited gallery for $100

⚠️ Policies to Keep in Mind

• Booking fees are non-refundable.
• Life happens! In case of emergencies, just reach out and I’ll gladly reschedule or find another solution.
• Weekend sessions (Saturday or Sunday) include a $100 surcharge.

Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable, cared for, and guided through every step. As a female photographer (and a mom myself), I understand how special this chapter of your life is, and I’ll make sure your experience is both stress-free and memorable.
